Dear Brother and Sister Summers:

Your son arrived at the Florida Orlando Mission on 27 Jul 2009. His health is good, his testimony is strong and his countenance is glowing. Sister Darrington and I already feel a strong love for this special servant of the Lord. we are so thankful he was assigned to this mission. We look forward to working with him.

Thank you for leading Elder Summers to the Lord to serve in this mission. We know personally of the sacrifice and heart tugging experience it is to send a child on a mission. We will do everything we can to help him magnify his call to serve.

Elder Summers will be encourage to write home every week and to share testimony and special experience with you. Also, a weekly uplifting letter from home that will help him remain focused on the work, praising him for sacrifice in serving and strengthening him spiritually will help assure a happier successful mission.

MTC Letter #5, July 24, 2009

Hey Guys!

I just got back from the temple. It sounds like you guys had a fun time on vacation. I'm meeting lots of cool people everyday. Calleigh thanks for the letter. It made me cry! I LOVE YOU! So do you guys miss me yet? I will call on Monday, probably early from the airport so have your phone ready k? Is Bentley feeling better? Oh and mom send me a picture of where you cut your head. I need to make sure it's alright! So are you guy still working out? I try but I really don't have time to do anything. I eat a lot but I poop like 7 times a day so I'm not gaining any weight and that sucks! Time is flying by for me. It has been fun and really spiritual and Elder Folkerson is pretty cool! I'm singing in the choir with him, cool huh? I'm not good but I'm getting better. I love you guys so much! Cal be a good girl and listen to Mom and Dad, they know whats best! Mom get ready to go to the Temple with me! Dad try spending more time with Cal! You guys are all great examples and you're all in my prayers!

MTC Letter #4, July 20, 2009

Hey Mom,

I will call on Monday anywhere from 7am to 9am your time, which is 8am to 10am my time! I'm going to try to call as soon as I can. This braclet is for Calleigh. It's crazy that I'm getting ready to leave for Florida. I'm teaching and learning good. It's all about LOVE! I'm not really allowed to be writing you but I wanted to give you a heads up. I'm learning a lot about the gospel and just life in general. I'm already different and if I came home today I would be twice as better as I was when I left! It's weird but I love it!!! Send letters as much as possible. I love hearing from you guys. It makes my day so much better. Well I love you guys but I need to go study. Be good!

MTC Letter #3, July 16,2009

Hey Guys!

It was good to hear from you. Things are good and it has been good to feel the spirit everyday here. It just hit me today that I'm going to be out here away from you guys for two years!
Me and Folkerson have our own room. The A/C finally works, so that is good! I think I'm almost done with a tape, so hopefully I will be sending that soon. I'm learning lots! I can't wait to go through the Temple with you when I get back. I'm ok and I'm working hard, but I'm way tired all the time! I still need shoe shine and some chill pills cuz Folkerson can get on my nerves pretty easy!!! LOL Well I love you guys! Write me back, I miss you!

MTC Letter #2, July 13, 2009

Hey Mommy I miss you and had some free time so I decide to write. Hey can you send me that photo book from Brodee and some shoe shine, black! Things are going good. It is way hot in our rooms still. The Food is still way good. I'm learning lots and tell Brodee that book he made is way helpful. I love you guys! How was California? In my zone there is an Elder Green from California and he is way cool! I like him! So how are you guys, I hope you know I'm the only Elder that hasn't got a letter. I am learning a lot and growing. When I get in the Mission field you should send me some El Pato sause, I think it has a duck on it! Oh and send my push up things! I'm taking lots of pictures. We get to go to the Temple on Wednesday! Oh yeah I ironed my first shirt today and I will try to wash my clothes Wednesday so wish me luck! This is the best choice I have ever made in my life mom! I am so happy to be here. I hope that we can go through the Temple together when I get back k! Love you Guys!!

MTC letter #1, July 9th, 2009

Dear Mom,

I just found my pocket planner with your address in it so I decided I better write you! So I couldn't find my shot chart at first but don't worry I found it! I got everything under control and taken care of and I'll turn the shot chart in today.

Hey mom are room is soooo HOT!!! It's hard to sleep, but the food is pretty good here. My companion is Elder Folkerson. He is pretty cool! He also is going to Orlando! There is like 8 people in my zone that are going to Florida! One of them is Elder Moore....he is 22, so I call him Grandpa! He is from Tennessee and his favorite team is the Gators and the Cowboys!!! I like him a lot! Then there an Elder Green in my zone and he's going to New Hampshire. He is from California and he's cool! My zone is pretty cool! Anyway I'm doing good and having fun and learning lots. Well I love you and I will for sure write a letter on my P-day, which is Wednesday ok! Love you guy and talk to you soon!

Provo Here We Come

It was a sad day when we left for Provo!! It was Braunson Great Grandma's funeral! We left right after the luncheon......we all had very mixed emotions!!! But we all knew Grandma would want us to get Elder Summer up to Provo!!!
