St. Cloud Letter #18, Oct 26 2009

Hey Mom,

Got your Fall/Fair package, it was cute! Sorry I had to use so much money. Don't worry I will try not to do that again. It's good to hear from you guys and to hear that you are doing good! We don't have any strong gators right now, we are in a pickle and it's my fault. I haven't been as good as I should have. Don't worry from this day on I will do my best to do what is right! My new companion's name is Elder Wilson, he is from Washington State. He is pretty cool and I like him! He has been out over a year. It's weird I'm the one teaching and talking the most. He isn't shy, he just won't talk very much while we are out teaching people. We are working hard though! I'm still in St. Cloud, the same area, same ward but just a new house. The address is 502 Kentucky Ave, it's just like a mile away from California Ave where we use to live. I'm still sleeping on the floor but I don't mind. We got two queen beds but they won't both fit in the same room. I'm trying to cook more and serve more like you and dad! We are teaching two girls that are less active. They are both 9yrs old. One is from the Flores Family and the other is a Blandon. I started Jesus the Christ today, so wish me luck! I have been wanting to read it really bad. We are going to go play basketball today, 3 on 3! Us, Elders Wilks and Creer and the two Spanish Elders. I forgot their names. My teams will win! LOL! Ok next package send wintergreen mints. I like those. I'm going to send home all the spanish stuff you sent but I want more sign language stuff. Like words and phrases. Ummm I'm going to buy a lot of stuff when we go to zone conference....like posters and stuff K? I'm going to buy Cal and Brod one too! But when I send them, I don't want you to open the rest because I'm going to frame them when I get home, OK? Thanks your the best! No I'm not sick. I'm doing good. I'm tired all the time, but not sick. I do love it out here! I'm trying to better myself. It's hard to not be able to see you guys, but it what I have to do. I must serve the Lord forever. oh it's just me and Elder Wilson in our new house. Well I hope I answered all your questions!Well I'm glad to hear everyone is doing OK! Dear Elder Summers:

Congratulations on your call to be senior Companion. It is by the spirit of revelation that you have received this sacred calling. With this call will come an increased desire to teach all who have not yet come to the light and knowledge of the restored gospel.

Your call as a Senior Companion brings more responsibility and trust. Your studies are even more important than before. You will need to lead by example in every aspect of missionary work. St. Cloud Letter #17, Oct 19 2009

Hey Mom,

Guess what? There is no good Spanish restaurants out here! Anyway I haven't moved yet or met my new Companion! I hope to do that tomorrow. That's pretty cool about Pima almost beating Thatcher at their homecoming!!! How are you and Cal doing on your praying together? Good I hope, if not start now!! Well Linnea got baptized. That's 5 this month! She got baptized on Saturday and it was sweet! Don't worry I took pictures! I won't get mail until Thursday because of transfers, so I didn't get your fall/fair package yet! I'm going to become co-senior companion. Cool huh! Oh and yes I have drove a couple of times and it was easy. Do you guys need anything from me? Just let me know if you do and I will help out the best I can. We have no beds at the new apartment, so we will be sleeping on the floor. It's getting pretty cold here, everyone is freezing but I love it. Well we have got to find new gators! We will, we must just have faith that there is people out there that want this. I know they are out there! I play a lot of basketball on P-days. I heard my new companion is pretty good. I hope so cuz I kill everyone right now! LOL! Well I lost the other day by 2 to Elder Delucchi, Wilks and Creer! They beat me and I was mad....the only reason they won is because my arm popped out again. It was pretty bad this time. I couldn't get it back in for a while. I was sore the whole week. It's starting to feel better now. Well I'm doing good....I just can't gain any weight...in fact I lost 2 pounds! I'm so sad!! St.Cloud Letter #16, Sept 12 2009

Hey Mom,

I got your email today and a call from Sis. Anderson. I guess Dad called and told her you didn't get an email last week. Well I hope this send this week, if not I need to call her! Well I'm fine but I can't do anything with this SD card. I don't know if it's to big but it won't work. Maybe you need to do something on the computer with it! IDK? This has been a good week, we have been working hard! We are having a baptism Sat. Linnea, Connie's grand daughter is getting baptized. Tell everyone thanks for the letters. Well I keep taking pictures and stuff...this week has been a good one! We have spent a lot of time with Charles and the Halls and Connie and Linnea, it has been fun! We are working with lots of other people too! So how is the ward doing?? Did Riley leave for the MTC yet??? For P-day we are cleaning because tomorrow is house inspections! At a fireside the other day...I saw some Elders that was in my district at the MTC. So I'm going to write them today and maybe play some basketball. I don't know though....my leg is hurting...it never has went away from football! I just deal with it. OOOh guess what? I got hit by a car....well I'm ok! It was just the back of my bike, but I almost wrecked, but I caught myself! No big deal! Now that school has started, people have been yelling and giving us the bird alot more! The other day we were walking and this kid stuck his head out the window and yelled my sister thinks your hot....so I like that a lot better than...f you dang Mormons! Well guess who I'm writing to ....Walter Rane! He is a painter for the church. He is my favorite and he sent me some signed pictures...that I will send home for you to keep safe for me. You should look him up on the computer. I'm writing him and he's writing me back, it's cool! But I still like hearing from you guys better. So how is Cal and your praying going? Good I hope!! Hey Guys!

A Quick note! Thanks for the letters and packages. Dad... thank you for the letters, I love hearing from you. I have a blessing for you. If you start praying on your knees every morning and night you will become a better missionary and more chances to share the gospel! Mom...if you do what I told you about Cal she will become a better person than she could ever become on her own. You are important to her but so is the Lord! If she has both of you at the same time...WOW! Help her and you will see it will help you! Thank you for the emails and letters. It's so good to hear from you. And thank you for your love. Cal...Keep trying to be as good as you can really be. Ponder and Pray about the mission thing....it's between you and the Lord! Not me, not Dad or Mom but you and the Lord! Ok I LOve you! St. Cloud Letter # 14, Sept 28 2009

Wow!!!!

This week was amazing. We had Charles, Liam and Tracey get baptized!!!! Mom will you tell Brad that he is going to love going on a mission. Tell him to work hard and it easy and fun. Also well you put this in the ward newsletter....I'm so grateful for the missionary's in our ward, thank them for me and tell the young men in our ward that I love them and if they want to understand life better and grow that they need to prepare to serve a mission. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I Love it out here!!!!Tell them to remember there are souls out there that only the Lord can help through them!!! I love you Pima 4th Ward!! Know that I'm trying my hardest to build the ward out here to be like our ward. Well this next part is for Cal. Cal I'm glad that you are growing up. I think you should prepare to serve a mission. I think you should make it a goal! It would make you such a better person and you would love it. I know the Lord wants you to serve, maybe you should pray about it. I hope you are the first girl in are family to be a servant of are Lord Jesus Christ! Well I'm glad your growing up. Here's a tip....when you pray get on your knees, never ever rush a prayer. When your eyes are closed, picture God in the room with you and act like he is listening, cuz he is!! Hey watch Conference with mom and write what you like about each talk you hear and tell me how your prayer are going. I love hearing from you....your letters are my favorite to get! You are the best sister in the world ...and I love you and I will always be here for you k! Mom write down your notes from the talks you hear and send them to me. Keep helping Cal....teach her all you know! I have a favor to ask...Mom before you and Cal go to bed each night, go in her room and get down on your knees and pray out loud with her. Switch off every night. Mom will you do this for me, please??? I know it well help both of you! Well I love it out here, I miss you guys sooooooo bad though. But it won't slow me down! You guys fuel me...you help me stay happy and proud. You remind me of how lucky I am to have a Temple family and I want everyone to have this!!! So thanks for your support! St. Cloud Letter #13, Sept 21 2009

Mom We baptized Connie!!!! And we should have 3 more this weekend. Charles, Tracey and Liam! I'm so happy! Our goal is to get 5 this transfer. I know we can do it, we just have to keep working hard. I'm going on exchanges with Elder Bills, he is a zone leader and way cool. I have to give a training talk at district meeting. I'm going to talk about the Book of Mormon missionary's and their good points and how we can be like them. I have been a little sick but I'm feeling better. I got another ward newsletter from sis Barney. Can you tell her thanks and I love getting them. So how is your becoming Temple worthy and missionary work going? Do anything you can to help the work. There are a lot of people out here to help and I want to help them all. We must help the work go forward. It's all that really matters...this is the 7th inning and we have to step up our game cuz we don't have much time. I'm getting so excited for conference in a few weeks. Well let's keep working hard!
