St. Cloud Letter #21, Nov. 16, 2009

Hey Mom,

Today was zone P-day and we played football. I did really good until my dang leg started hurting. I don't know what is wrong, it just starts hurting bad sometimes! Anyway we are meeting this deaf guy. That is why I had you send me those sign language things. So guess what?....we met this guy named Angelo and he's getting baptized. He just has to come to church 2 times and then he is getting put under. He is so cool!!! Things are starting to look up....Saturday we tracked all day, we even skipped dinner. We talked to 100 people and it was sweet. I'm doing good, but Satan is really working hard on me.....so when you and Calleigh pray please pray to help me stay away from sin, OK???? Well I did get your package today and a letter from Brodee. Tell him I'll send him back a letter....But I know I have to write him myself! But that's cool because I like hearing from him!!! Well I'm doing good...but I might not get to see Angelo get baptized if I get transferred. I don't know how much longer I will be here in this area, but I hope I can stay for at least one more transfer. I need to start working out. I'm getting lazy...all I do is sleep!!! I just have no energy!! Well sorry Mom but I have to go! I Love You and thank you for sharing your testimony!!

St. Cloud Letter # 20, Nov. 9 2009

Well mom your letter made me really HAPPY! I'm becoming a better teacher. I want to be like Ammon in the Book of Alma. He was doing things like me, well not good things. The Lord turned him around and is one of the greatest missionary to ever live! It has been real hard lately but I love it. A lot of people are sick here too! Yesterday I had to cover a class....Gospel Principals! Everyone said I did good. So now I'm going to try even harder to become a power teaching tool of the Lords, who is sharp and ready to work! I'm going to keep the rust off me (sin)! I'm not trying to boast....just read Alma 26:12 to know what I'm trying to say! I will become a sharp toll of the Lords!!! Well I'm really happy to hear all the good news!! I can't wait to come home and be with you guys!! I really hope we can ALL go to the Temple together. That is my biggest wish!! Well here is an update....I want the church book "God loves his children" and more sign language stuff sent to me ASAP!! LOL! We are going to start teaching this deaf guy!!! I will be sending a package home soon. That's cool about Cal going to the Temple for baptism for the dead. I'm going to set up a date so all of the new converts can go and do that. Well I need to email the President this week! On Friday we help out with project homeless from 5 until 3. I worked so hard that I forgot to eat! I passed a few pass along cards out too...so I'm always in missionary mode. I LOVE my mission so much!! Well I have to get going. I love the letter this week it made me so happy to hear about you guys!!! I love you and nothing can ever change that!!! Elder Summers

St. Cloud Letter #19, Nov 2 2009

Hey Mom,

I went to a trunk and treat too! It was fun....we passed out candy and everything! It was a fun night! Yes we are working with new gators, but they aren't doing good. Everyone who says they are coming to church doesn't. I'm so sad....this lady flipped out on us the other night. She called the cops and was saying all these lies and calling us names. I couldn't take it anymore. I started to cry and bore my testimony. I couldn't hold it in....now she knows that I know the church is true!!! So the cops came and the only reason we stayed was because she told us to. The cop just told us to go, he wasn't mad or anything, he was on our side! It's weird I'm trying my hardest to change and keep my mind pure as well as my thoughts. So Satan has stepped up his game too! Girls have been wearing less clothes and people have been being bigger jerks! LOL! It's weird to see!!! I'm so sad for these people that have no idea! Is it fair that I know and they don't?? Why oh why won't they listen! Sometimes I can't take it but then I see the people I've helped and it fills me with so much joy!!! I want to help as many people as I can. Well enough of me crying!! So I loved the package...it was cool! My favorite part was seeing the pictures of Bentley!! It made me so homesick, I started to cry! I loved that quote in your letter bout " A missionary is someone who leaves his family for two years, so others can be with their family for eternity!" It's so true!!! The Temple looks really cool, thanks for the pictures! Hey don't worry I will sent your Questionnaire paper home today! Mom I'm sorry for all the crap I made you go through. I wish I was a better son but don't worry I will keep trying to better myself so I can make you even more proud of me, OK? Well I'm glad to hear about the Cowboys and to hear that Romo's not sucking anymore! That's good to hear!!! I'm glad Cal has no C's on her report card. I hope it stays that way! OK mom I love that CD and I have a favor to ask! Will you get the conference talks on CD and send them to me? And I still want a CD with that song bout President Hinckley's prayer....that one the girl sings, remember? You got it once for me!!! Well I still Love it out here and I love helping people....but I miss you guys!!! I love hearing from you all!! It is cooling down here too!! Tell Cal not to say "What the flip" and just don't do anything that will get her in trouble! So how's the house remodeling coming along! Good I hope!! What's up with everyone??? St. Cloud Letter #18, Oct 26 2009

Hey Mom,

Got your Fall/Fair package, it was cute! Sorry I had to use so much money. Don't worry I will try not to do that again. It's good to hear from you guys and to hear that you are doing good! We don't have any strong gators right now, we are in a pickle and it's my fault. I haven't been as good as I should have. Don't worry from this day on I will do my best to do what is right! My new companion's name is Elder Wilson, he is from Washington State. He is pretty cool and I like him! He has been out over a year. It's weird I'm the one teaching and talking the most. He isn't shy, he just won't talk very much while we are out teaching people. We are working hard though! I'm still in St. Cloud, the same area, same ward but just a new house. The address is 502 Kentucky Ave, it's just like a mile away from California Ave where we use to live. I'm still sleeping on the floor but I don't mind. We got two queen beds but they won't both fit in the same room. I'm trying to cook more and serve more like you and dad! We are teaching two girls that are less active. They are both 9yrs old. One is from the Flores Family and the other is a Blandon. I started Jesus the Christ today, so wish me luck! I have been wanting to read it really bad. We are going to go play basketball today, 3 on 3! Us, Elders Wilks and Creer and the two Spanish Elders. I forgot their names. My teams will win! LOL! Ok next package send wintergreen mints. I like those. I'm going to send home all the spanish stuff you sent but I want more sign language stuff. Like words and phrases. Ummm I'm going to buy a lot of stuff when we go to zone conference....like posters and stuff K? I'm going to buy Cal and Brod one too! But when I send them, I don't want you to open the rest because I'm going to frame them when I get home, OK? Thanks your the best! No I'm not sick. I'm doing good. I'm tired all the time, but not sick. I do love it out here! I'm trying to better myself. It's hard to not be able to see you guys, but it what I have to do. St. Cloud Letter #17, Oct 19 2009

Hey Mom,

Guess what? There is no good Spanish restaurants out here! Anyway I haven't moved yet or met my new Companion! I hope to do that tomorrow. That's pretty cool about Pima almost beating Thatcher at their homecoming!!! How are you and Cal doing on your praying together? Good I hope, if not start now!! Well Linnea got baptized. That's 5 this month! She got baptized on Saturday and it was sweet! Don't worry I took pictures! I won't get mail until Thursday because of transfers, so I didn't get your fall/fair package yet! I'm going to become co-senior companion. Cool huh! Oh and yes I have drove a couple of times and it was easy. Do you guys need anything from me? Just let me know if you do and I will help out the best I can. We have no beds at the new apartment, so we will be sleeping on the floor. It's getting pretty cold here, everyone is freezing but I love it. Well we have got to find new gators! We will, we must just have faith that there is people out there that want this. I know they are out there! I play a lot of basketball on P-days. I heard my new companion is pretty good. I hope so cuz I kill everyone right now! LOL! Well I lost the other day by 2 to Elder Delucchi, Wilks and Creer! They beat me and I was mad....the only reason they won is because my arm popped out again. It was pretty bad this time. I couldn't get it back in for a while. I was sore the whole week. It's starting to feel better now. Well I'm doing good....I just can't gain any weight...in fact I lost 2 pounds! I'm so sad!! St.Cloud Letter #16, Sept 12 2009

Hey Mom,

I got your email today and a call from Sis. Anderson. I guess Dad called and told her you didn't get an email last week. Well I hope this send this week, if not I need to call her! Well I'm fine but I can't do anything with this SD card. I don't know if it's to big but it won't work. Maybe you need to do something on the computer with it! IDK? This has been a good week, we have been working hard! We are having a baptism Sat. Linnea, Connie's grand daughter is getting baptized. Tell everyone thanks for the letters. Well I keep taking pictures and stuff...this week has been a good one! We have spent a lot of time with Charles and the Halls and Connie and Linnea, it has been fun! We are working with lots of other people too! So how is the ward doing?? Did Riley leave for the MTC yet??? For P-day we are cleaning because tomorrow is house inspections! At a fireside the other day...I saw some Elders that was in my district at the MTC. So I'm going to write them today and maybe play some basketball. I don't know though....my leg is hurting...it never has went away from football! I just deal with it. OOOh guess what? I got hit by a car....well I'm ok! It was just the back of my bike, but I almost wrecked, but I caught myself! No big deal! Now that school has started, people have been yelling and giving us the bird alot more! The other day we were walking and this kid stuck his head out the window and yelled my sister thinks your hot....so I like that a lot better than...f you dang Mormons! Well guess who I'm writing to ....Walter Rane! He is a painter for the church. He is my favorite and he sent me some signed pictures...that I will send home for you to keep safe for me. You should look him up on the computer. I'm writing him and he's writing me back, it's cool! But I still like hearing from you guys better. So how is Cal and your praying going? Good I hope!!
